Scheme Overview

Ambedkar Udyog Uday Yojana (DAUUY)

This scheme is specifically designed to promote entrepreneurship among Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities in Gujarat by providing financial assistance and support for setting up new manufacturing or service enterprises.

Eligibility Criteria

Promoter must belong to Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) community
Must have valid Udyam Registration (MSME Registration) certificate
Unit must be a new enterprise — existing units are not eligible for initial capital subsidy
Investment in plant & machinery must be within MSME defined limits
Unit must be located in Gujarat in an industrial zone or GIDC area
Promoter must hold majority shareholding (minimum 51%) in the enterprise
Community certificate from competent authority required

Frequently Asked Questions

Can partnership firms with SC/ST partners apply?

Yes, but the SC/ST partner(s) must hold minimum 51% of the partnership share. A certificate from the registrar of firms along with community certificates is required.

Are women SC/ST entrepreneurs given preference?

Yes. Women promoters from SC/ST communities receive an enhanced interest subsidy rate (9% vs 7% for male promoters) under this yojana.

Can the unit be in any district, or only specific areas?

The yojana applies across Gujarat. Units in underdeveloped or tribal talukas may receive additional top-up benefits from other schemes simultaneously.

How long does the process take from application to disbursement?

Typically 3–5 months for capital subsidy sanction, subject to DIC inspection and District Level Committee (DLC) approval. JSV Consultancy actively monitors and follows up throughout.
