Common Environment Infrastructure Assistance

Gujarat provides financial support across 4 distinct sub-schemes to help industries jointly manage environmental compliance and pollution control — from common effluent treatment to shared boiler projects and green estate development.

4 Sub-Schemes Available

Each sub-scheme has its own rate, cap, and eligibility conditions.

Common Environmental Infrastructure

Effluent treatment plants, pipelines, water recycling, spray drying systems, reverse osmosis plants, multiple effect evaporators, drum decontamination facilities, automation upgrades, and environmental monitoring systems shared across an industrial cluster.

Common Boiler Project

Shared boiler infrastructure for a group of MSMEs, reducing individual capital burden and emissions through cleaner fuel use.

Rate35% (solid fuel) / 50% (cleaner fuels — CNG, PNG, biofuel)
CapMaximum ₹2 crore — requires an SPV of at least 10 MSMEs

Regulatory Strengthening

Support for cleaner production research, testing infrastructure, ambient monitoring, source inventory studies, capacity-building workshops, and environmental clinics.

Green Estate Development

Site master planning for green industrial estates, or relocation and retrofitting of existing estates to meet environmental standards.

Rate75% (site master planning) / 25% of capital cost (relocation/retrofitting)
CapMaximum ₹80 lakh (planning) / Maximum ₹25 crore (relocation/retrofitting)

Eligibility Criteria

Any industries association, enterprise (except for captive use), or firm registered under the Societies Act, Trust Act, or Companies Act
GIDC, Board, Corporation, Nagarpalika, or Urban Development Authority are also eligible applicants
Common Boiler Project specifically requires an SPV of a minimum of 10 MSMEs
A GPCB (Gujarat Pollution Control Board) consent order must be obtained for the project
